Soles for Young Souls

We’ve leaned that some kids in our community are coming to school with worn out or duct taped shoes!

And we’re doing something about it!

St Alban’s is working with a local elementary school to provide both shoes and snowboots for kids who need them. 75% of these families are considered disadvantaged. The teachers determine if there is a need and we get to work filling it. A small supply of extra shoes and boots is now maintained by the school. So far this school years we have provided 65 pairs of shoes and snow boots. We have done this quietly to preserve the dignity of every child and family.

You can help! The need is for children’s size 10 through adult 5. Checks or new shoe/boot donations may be mailed to St. Alban’s, PO Box 302, Manistique MI 49854. Or stop by the church Sunday mornings.
